We are Hell
Hell Throne was built from a shared passion for heavy music and the drive to keep growing with every release. Originally formed on the Navajo Nation and now based in Phoenix, Arizona, the four-piece carries Indigenous roots into a sound grounded in death metal and shaped by the slam, hardcore, and extreme music that influenced them along the way.
Years of writing, performing, and refining their sound have pushed Hell Throne toward something darker, heavier, and increasingly their own. Their newest material reflects where the band is today—taking what they’ve learned along the way and continuing to build on it.
For Hell Throne, it comes down to making music they believe in, enjoying what they create, and continuing to raise the standard they set for themselves.
Our Story
Founded in 2021, Hell Throne was based out of Phoenix, Arizona by vocalist and lead guitarist Dave Kirk. Drummer, Rowe Bitsilly, was added to the band in July of 2021 when he responded to an advertisement for the band. Lead vocalist and band artist Dexter Dale joined the band in April of 2023 after being featured on the single "King of Death". Last but not least, Ernest Capono, joined the band as a guitarist in April of 2024 after reaching out directly to the band founder.
Hell Throne is a mixture of thrash and death metal in musical style. A more precise comparison would be a blend of thrash metal legends "Slayer" and godfathers of death metal "Cannibal Corpse" fused together with a "splash" of death metal band "Suffocation."
Our Mission
Hell Throne exists to make heavy music without compromise. We take pride in where we come from, what we create, and the people who stand behind us. We’re not here to reinvent metal or make promises about changing the world. We’re here to contribute something of our own to the music that shaped us, and to keep pushing it further.
We respect the bands that came before us, the people who keep this music alive, and the communities that continue to support it. Every show, every release, and every opportunity is another chance to earn our place. We know where we come from, we know what brought us here, and we have no intention of losing sight of either.
Meet The Band
Dave Kirk
Lead Guitarist, Back up Vocals

Growing up in Ganado, Arizona, my introduction to heavy music came from digging through my dad’s CDs and tapes. He put an old CD player in my bedroom, and Pantera’s Cowboys from Hell quickly became the album I couldn’t stop playing. The heavy guitars, pounding drums, and aggressive vocals immediately caught my attention.
I’ve been playing guitar since I was six years old, and I became obsessed with getting my own rig to sound as massive as what I heard on that record. That constant search for heavier, meaner-sounding music eventually led me to death metal.
Early on, bands like Slayer, Metallica, and Pantera were some of my biggest influences. From there, my taste moved toward darker and heavier thrash, including early Sepultura, Power Trip, and Exodus. After discovering death metal in my teenage years, bands like Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Deicide, and Aeon became major influences on my playing and the sound I continue to chase today.
I eventually moved with my family from the Navajo Reservation to Phoenix in 2015 in search of more job opportunities, and Phoenix has been home ever since.
Outside of Hell Throne, I work as a welder and crane operator, and when I’m not playing music, I spend my time with my wife.
For this new era of Hell Throne, I’m focused on pushing my own musical limits and seeing how far we can take what we’ve built together.

Rowe Bitsilly
Drummer

Originally from Naschitti and raised in Gallup, New Mexico, I grew up listening to Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, and Slayer. I eventually started searching for newer and heavier music, picked up the drums at 13, and kept pushing from there.
One of my biggest influences behind the kit is Tim Yeung. I discovered him when I was 16, and his speed, technique, and wild live performances had a major impact on me as a drummer. Dez Fafara has also been an influence on me throughout my years in heavy music.
One of my most important roles in Hell Throne is keeping myself and the rest of the band on time, whether we’re rehearsing or performing onstage.
Outside of music, I enjoy going to shows, spending time with friends, lifting weights, playing Fortnite, meditating, and using the sauna.
For me, this new era of Hell Throne represents new music, a new image, and a new chapter for the band. More than anything, I’m happy to be moving forward and creating music alongside my brothers.
Dexter Dale
Lead Vocalist

Born in Gallup and raised in Twin Lakes on the Navajo Nation, heavy music came into my life through my uncle. He introduced me to Slipknot, Job for a Cowboy, Cradle of Filth, and Six Feet Under. From there, I started digging deeper into heavy music on my own.
As the MySpace era took off, it opened up an entirely different world of music for me. That’s when I started discovering bands like Suicide Silence, Bring Me the Horizon, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Whitechapel, and countless others.
After my sister married Dave, he and I eventually started making music together, which ultimately led to what would become Hell Throne's new sound.
Over the years, my influences have expanded far beyond metal. My expansion has included J. Cole, Wu-Tang Clan, and Joyner Lucas to Bad Bunny, Lorde, Johnny Cash, Cigarettes After Sex, and Twenty One Pilots. Cattle Decapitation still remains a major influence on the heavier side.
That wide range of music influences how I approach Hell Throne. We’re not trying to sound like somebody else. For me, it’s about continuing to get better as a band while making music we genuinely like and would want to listen to ourselves.
Performing means more to me than just getting on stage and playing heavy music. For however long we’re on stage, I want people to forget about their day and whatever might be wrong in the world around them—to live in the moment, feel something, express themselves, smile, be happy, and just be free. Whatever weight you walked in with, you don’t have to carry it alone. Bring us your pain, and we’ll make it fucking loud.
Ernest Capono

Music has always been an escape for me. I picked up a guitar at 14, and nearly a decade later, it’s still the place I go when I need that escape. Over those years, my influences have helped shape the heavy style I bring to Hell Throne.
Phoenix is home, and outside of music, I enjoy spending time outdoors.
For this new era of Hell Throne, I see it as a chance to stop holding back and really push what we can do. Heavier, faster, groovier, and darker—nothing is off the table. Everything we’ve built up to this point is still there, but now we’re pushing it further. The focus is on making music we genuinely want to hear and putting everything we have into it.
